Mesta Festa Activities:
Beer- and Wine-Tastings: For a $12 donation, individuals at least 21 years old may sample the special brews. Local micro-breweries expected include Belle Isle Brewery, COOP Ale Works, Mustang Beer, Choc Beer, Roughtail Brewing Co., Huebert Brewing and more. Local pubs like Grandad’s Bar, Skinny Slim’s, The Blue Note Lounge, Louie’s Grill & Bar, JJ’s Saloon and JJ’s Alley Bricktown Pub also will be on hand. Urban Wineworks will add a wine-tasting component to festivities.
Food Vendors: Local food vendors Pizza 23 and Hawk’s Hot Dogs will have specialty dishes available for purchase.
Children’s Activities: Children’s activities area includes hands-on experiments by Science Museum Oklahoma as well as an appearance by the Thunder Drummers.
Live Music: Bands from ACM@UCO will keep the party in the park going all day. Local band Temporary Saints will close-out the music for the day.
Michael Persons Memorial Chili Cook-off: Chili connoisseurs will have their creations judged in three categories: Most Unusual, Hottest and Best in Show. Registration for the event is $5 per entry and starts at noon. All entries need to be entered in electric crockpot.

3 to 4 p.m. – Oklahoma City Thunder Drummers available for photos and autographs
3:30 p.m. – Chili Cook-off winners announced (tentative time)
All-day activities – Beer and wine tastings, local food vendors, hands-on science experiments with Science Museum Oklahoma.

Mesta Park is a thriving historic community in the heart of Oklahoma City. Founded in 1902, the neighborhood’s homes present many examples of classic architecture from the early 20th century.
